Monte Paterno - Via Ferrata

On a June Monday we set off for the 1 hour drive to reach the Misurina Lake. From there a bus took us to Rifugio Auronzo from where the hike would start. The plan was to reach the summit of Monte Paterno that offers a direct view on the Tre Cime.

The hike to reach the Rifugio Locatelli was mostly flat and easy going. From there we started hiking up through a series of dark and cold tunnels until we reached the beginning of the via ferrata that would take us to the top of Monte Paterno.
