Waterfalls Exploration
Looking for a break from the summer heat I explored a section of the Arzino stream which promises pristine waterfalls and emerald pools.
It’s possible to reach the water after a short and easy hike. As expected the river is surrounded by a lush forest and provides some restful shade in the summer months.
I took a photo of the rivers is a section where it gently flows right before reaching the steeper parts that create the waterfalls.

Just a few steps away I noticed to first small pool with crystal clear water this stream is famous for. I used a tree in the foreground to give a sense of depth and context.

Following the trail I reached the steepest section of the river where some cliffs forces the stream into a series of waterfalls. Given how narrow the valley is in this part it was difficult to find a viewpoint that would convey the scale of the waterfalls. After a bit of off-trail exploration I found a decent spot and took this photo. I didn’t have a tripod with me but I still used a relatively slow shutter speed to show the movement in the water.

At the bottom of the falls where the river again regains its composure the lazily flows downstream I crossed a small bridge and noticed some bright green leaves against the shadow of the wooden handrails. The contrast of the straight and rigid lines of the man-made elements side by side with the natural curves of the leaves works very well.

Not far away from the bridge I pointed the camera upwards and took a photo of the backlit leaves. The compositions isn’t exceptional but the image is crisp and the different shades of green create a pleasing image to my eye.

Overall the excursion was enjoyable but looking at the images I took I doubt I was able to capture the true beauty and essence of the stream and all its water formations.
